- Audio Playback: Every recording is played twice.
- Question Types: Multiple-choice, multiple-matching, note-taking, table-completion, and gap-fill.
- Topics Assessed: Across all five core topic areas (Home and abroad; Education and employment; Personal life and relationships; The world around us; Social activities, fitness and health).
- Assessment Focus: Correct spelling and grammatical accuracy are not required provided the response is comprehensible.
